This was my second speech for Globe this year, and they are an awesome company to work with.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was an event for partners from the likes of Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime, Facebook, as well as Tick Tock, MMA and e-sports &#8211; I learnt much about how digital content is developing and the new digital world that is arriving as we speak (and which my child is growing up in!).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme was \u201cmove as one\u201d, so I framed my Cycling Home From Siberia Expedition speech with the following reflection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we face a daunting challenge in life or work, we can have one of three possible attitudes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. &#8220;That&#8217;s impossible, I can never do that&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(a can&#8217;t do attitude)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. &#8220;Of course I can do that, because I&#8217;M AMAZING!!&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(an arrogant\/foolhardy attitude)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. This will be very tough, but if I apply myself with courage and creativity, and if I am open to advice and ideas from others, we will figure out how to do it (this is what I call an attitude of adventure &#8211; as it is exactly the attitude needed on adventures)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we work together for a common goal, it energises an \u201cattitude of adventure\u201d in us, which allows us to succeed in the face of very daunting challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/Yi8au8P2dgIMFF1LUTmpptWGTNOpKLodbLnW1XHcgXF_kIny9Sk3ex3Sk8eLGncaCJl_5-8ek5ixvogvo4z8yE2mlY5YXHjhFlSbfo0U-npdRCYoVRz0h9cWFYtf44AJVPOHRGW_\" alt=\"Keynote speech at the Globe Content Partners Summit\" width=\"575\" height=\"767\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Really fun to give the keynote speech at the Globe Content Partners Summit in the Philippines this week.
