Next 10 steps

In this long, middle, tiring, tiresome stage of the pandemic (the novelty has worn off, hasn’t it), here is an easy and obvious tip to boost motivation:

Write down your long, medium, short term goals (make them realistic, but satisfying to achieve).

So write down:

3 things you would like to achieve this week

3 (bigger things) you would like to achieve in the next month

3 (even bigger things) you would like to achieve by year’s end

I have found this very helpful on expeditions over the years – the middle phase of an expedition is always long and slow going, and it feels like no progress is being made – see video below in the desert of death.
